On August 1, 2011 Dr. Robert Berman, began conducting a clinical trial of an investigational treatment for MRSA skin infections. This clinical trial will test Vancogel®; an experimental gel compound which can be applied directly to an open wound.
The clinical trial is a double blind study involving 100 patients who have a Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection that is not larger than 502 cm. The trial is scheduled to end on December 31, 2015 Patients are still being recruited to participate in the clinical trial located in Jupiter, FL.
